Waiving Exchange Requirements and income Tax For NGOs In Puntland

The President of State,

HAVING SEEN the constitution of the State,

HAVING SEEN a number of regulations and requirements issued by the Ministries of Finance, Interior and Public Works on issues concerning international cooperation and interaction with the UN Agencies,

IN THE INTEREST of public good and enhanced cooperative relations with the international community,

Has waived:

1. The one hundred USD exchange requirement at port of Entry by the management personnel and Staff of the UN and other internationally recognized organizations like the EU, Arab League, OAU, IGAD, Organization of Islamic Conference or any other regional, sub-regional or world community organization.
2. Income Tax on local Somali staff of international organizations working in the State, on temporary basis, until this matter is fully researched and studied by all concerned to a mutually satisfactory understanding.
