Abd al-Qadir Borjeh, the spokesman for the newly-armed RSA [Rahaweyn Salvation Army]
faction, has said that the Djibouti peace plan would result in inter-clan hostilities
instead of bringing about a just solution to the Somali political problem. He said
Djibouti was in the service of Somalia's enemies.
"If President Gelleh of Djibouti had been sincere he would have spoken against the
continued Ethiopian interference in the internal affairs of Somalia," Mr Borjeh said.
He added that Ethiopian troops were less than 250 km from the national capital Mogadishu
and the Djibouti leader was not concerned about this.
He said 93 per cent of Bay people [south-central Somalia] were now living in refugee
camps in Mogadishu and its environs after fleeing from Ethiopian forces.
