January
Reliable reports from Beled Weyne [Hiiran regional
HQ, southcentral Somalia] say the chairman of Hiiran Region, Hasan
Qalad, accompanied by representatives from Hiraan's Hawadle
clan are holding talks with Ethiopian officials there.
Hasan Qalad has maintained that the Hiiran Region
would have its own regional administration and that the matter would
be implemented after a meeting on a regional administration which is
being held in Ceel-Barde [Bakool Region, west of Hiiran]
Mr Qalad said that he was puzzled by people who
claimed that the Hiiran Region would not have its own
administration.
