Latest reports from districts in southern regions, including Mogadishu, say that cholera cases have increased in the areas in the past few days.

Eight people have died of the disease in Mogadishu in the past two days. Two of the victims were brothers and their bodies were buried in one grave in Dharkenley district yesterday. Unspecified number of people have also died of cholera in Jowhar, Qansax Dheere, Ufurow and Daafeed towns in the past few days.

An Arab relief agency, Manha, is currently involved in the distribution of anti-cholera drugs in some of the affected areas.
