President Ismael Omar Gelleh of Djibouti has disclosed that a central government with a
president and a prime minister would be formed in Somalia in
May 2000 [passage omitted quoting RFI].
Meanwhile a group of technical advisers from Egypt has arrived in Djibouti recently.
Reports say that the Egyptian government sent the technical team in support of President
Ismael Omar Gelleh's peace plan and to assist the Djibouti government in implementing it.
There would be about 6,000 policemen [as received] who would work with the government.
Reports from Djibouti say there are currently a lot of activities going on in Djibouti
regarding the Somali peace plan implementation process and the formation of a central
government in Somalia. The developed nations are also
supporting the Djibouti peace plan, the reports said.
