Dear BBC Team:

In the coming weeks, as we report from the Horn, we will also continue our monitoring of the BBC Somali desk and IRIN, its online sister news network.

We will relentlessly, in front of the eyes of the world, demand equal service across the board for all Somalis, regardless of region, religion, association, ethnicity, and sub-clan! We have an inherent belief that these information services were established and intended for all Somalis and not specifically for a particular sub-clan.

Therefore, in this age of abundance of information, and given the following accurate (see below), timely and on the spot news reporting (both written and audio) by the highly accurate and unbiased Somali news sources and reporters, how will your BBC Somali Section (and of course IRIN) justify its sub-clan leaning, inaccurate and highly biased Somali news reports?

Dear BBC and IRIN team, the million dollar question is: is the service only serving Yusuf Garad, Hassan Barrise, Abdiqasim Salad Hassan, Abdi Salad Hassan and sub-clan, instead of all Somalis?

We hope the BBC will adjust to the new information age realities and reform its lagging BBC Somali Section! It is never too late, and remember, all eyes are on you. And as we monitor your services, we will never relent to expose any deviation by your services and employees from the norm of fair news reporting and broadcasting!

As always, all eyes are also on IRIN, the other network for the sub-clan! And we shall continue our monitoring service on behalf of all honest Somalis.
