SHASNA MediaWatch

 BOSTON, MA , November 16, 2001

SHASNA MediaWatch department follows news analysis, commentaries, trends, news reports and press releases of the week. We pay special attention to Somali news in general, and to Arab financed and UN supported ‘ARTA TERROR CELLS’ in particular. We analyze, digest and separate facts from fiction. With so many news outlets and so many groups, each one vying for your attention, we will try our very best to fairly analyze what you have read or missed reading.

Washington DC, USA

Kabul, Afghanistan

Mogadishu, Somalia

With the help of President Bush and the people of the United States of America, the people of Afghanistan are now about to get their country back from the Taliban and their Arab imports. For these Arabs and associates, their strongholds are now falling one by one, and there are no more places left to hide other than their strategically well suited caves! Well, with the help of few Daisy Cutters, they can stay there for eternity!

However, there are other desperate countries in the world that need to be liberated from this Middle East scourge. High on the list is the country of Somalia. With the orders of Al-Qaeda, their friends in the Middle East and Africa, in the past ten years (five years for the Afghanis), Somalis - just like their fellow Afghanis - have been forcefully blessed with another version of the Taliban regime. We have been blessed with a foreign import by the name of Transitional National Government or TNG as often used by foreigners. This TNG has consumed well over $100 million dollars - most of it from Saudi Arabia - of which no single penny of those funds had neither been accounted for nor used to build or repair Mogadishu’s infrastructure, its schools or police stations, its hungry populace and or its highly unsafe streets. Where did it go? Mr. Randolph Kent might have an answer, but as always, we will give you the real answer and it is as follows: to expand the Al-Itihad infrastructure from Mogadishu to Kismayo and to Ras Kamboni and then upward to Garoowe, Boosaaso and to Borama.

Unlike the Mullahs in Kandahar, this gang in Mogadishu is a highly improved version of the Taliban. The Arab inventors and financiers of the former Taliban regime are now tacitly supporting their Somali version in Mogadishu. These Arab countries have also duped the UN to support their Frankenstein lab tests! These Arab inventors and financiers include such paragons of virtue and democracy as Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Egypt. Since they couldn’t improve their lot, they had to bribe their troublemakers and opposition forces to create hell and havoc in other desperately poor countries such as Somalia and Afghanistan.

Therefore, it is about time the United States addressed the root cause of Islamic extremism in East Africa and at the Horn. Again and as always, we have the answers: this scourge originates from the Middle East and especially from Saudi Arabia’s religious sects and their heavy petrodollar wallets!

Those heavy Saudi wallets have bought a four-page spread in the Washington Post couple of days ago to advertise their pro-American sympathies and try to prove their innocence. However, what is needed from the ruling Saudi elite is not advertisement but deeds and promises not extend a helping hand to world’s terror cells, and especially to those based in the Horn of Africa nation. We have our doubts!

It is also about tracking and following the money trail to Djibouti’s notorious banks in the corrupt city-state of Djibouti (see previous SHASNA report.) Once this lifeline has been shut, including the Saudi supply line, the terror cells’ oxygen supply will quickly run out; and from there on, the Somali people will root them out and reclaim their country from these foreign imports and associates. Justice will be swift!

And as we keep exposing the truth, nothing but the truth, we wish, hope and trust that every individual, government and organization that supports these terror cells will be “stopped and defeated.” And by gosh, Somalis everywhere will see to it that Sir David Stephen and Mr. Randolph Kent’s Mogadishu TNG terror cell will belong to “history’s unmarked graveyards of discarded lies.”

Asides

The Hague – The war criminals who directed Siad Barre’s war against all Somalis, and headed by none other than Mr. AbdiQasim Salad Hassan, related terror cells and certain entourage in Hotel Ramadan, are also today directing other crimes against humanity: the massacres of Baraawe and Kismayo; and the torching of Garasweyne, Hejmacood and Kuunyo-Barrow villages and where most of the resident were either massacred or chased away by the terror cells (Islamic court militias) and sub-clan militias. We hope the UN and their highly regarded political officers pay close attention to these devastating wars and heinous crimes against humanity committed by the Arta sub-clan. These men in Hotel Ramadan and many others, members of the UN pet project, got us where we are today. The UN should not only pay lip service to human rights abuses, but also should lead the way and show some action. Unless of course, as always, crimes against the Blackman and Africans in particular are not considered real crimes! We sincerely hope it ain’t so.

IRIN – UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, a misnomer, should be appropriately renamed the UN Office for the Coordination of instability in East Africa!

With or without the UN’s IRIN redesigned website, all still remains the same. It is the same UN propaganda machine full of verifiable lies. But, we do sincerely appreciate your attempts to at least limit the official propaganda to may be a mere headline a day.

According to Ken Menkhaus, a professor at Davidson College in North Carolina, “there are no secrets in Somalia.” Well IRIN, there are no secrets in Somalia and at the Horn. Therefore, given the abundance of details in Somalia, we wonder, as far as Somalia in concerned, where do these euro centric UN officials get their facts? Or is it that they are the all-knowing and the all-guiding Masters of fate in Somalia? Or is it about the age old European concept about black folks who make little progress and strive ahead to try to improve their dignities and that of their families, but the Master is always there reminding them that their progress is similar to “…dogs walking on their hind legs; it is just a matter of time before they fall down on all four!” It reminds us of Sir David Stephen’s comments about the autonomous Recovery Zones as “clan fox holes” and therefore, according to him, will sooner or later fall down on all four! Need we say any further!

And what did IRIN say of Mr. Salad Hassan and about his knowledge of Al-Qaeda?

Osama’s allies – When did Mr. Salad Hassan know about the existence of Al-Qaeda? Please say it ain’t so! What about during General Aideed’s terror reign in Somalia and you were a member of his Mogadishu Supreme Council? What about your meetings in Khartoum, the Sudan? Or what about your most recent meetings in Djibouti and in Sharja, UAE? Did we read that your first experience and knowledge of Al-Qaeda was on Sept 11? Please say it ain’t so!

Garoowe – First it was the Arta village in Djibouti, and now, again loaded with money from Arab donors, the people of Garoowe are once again under the far-reaching tentacles of the Al-Itihad movement; and the bases of the movement keep growing. It is not the Al-Itihaad group’s first footsteps in Garoowe, but we hope it will soon be their last. However, by reading IRIN online, you would never know what is and has been going on in Garoowe. However, given the desire and the agility of the people of Somalia and of Puntland in particular, we are quite confident that they too will also soon overcome the Al-Itihad shackles in Garoowe.

BBC Somali Section – The sub-clan militia and so called Islamic court radio broadcasters at the BBC Somali Section and their reporters in Mogadishu are in full alert! Warning: be skeptical of their news reports, as always, it is an outlet for the sub-clan and other associated militia fantasies.

USA – Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill: “Millions of dollars have moved through these U.S. offices of Al-Barakaat. This organization is now exposed for what it is - a pariah in the civilized world.''  We are indeed pleased about the demise of Al-Barakaat and about turning their telecom cash cow spigot off. Now, we ask you, ladies and gentlemen, what about Barakaat’s militia and battlewagons (technicals) used by Mr. Salad Hassan’s sub-clan TNG that roam the streets of Mogadishu, Marka, Kismayo and Ras Kamboni? Or, what about their hardcore defenders in the media, i.e., Mr. Randolph Kent’s SACB, UN’s OCHA/IRIN organization and Her Majesty’s BBC Somali Sub-clan Section? We look forward to hearing from Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Prime Minister Tony Blair and Secretary General Kofi Annan.

TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS AND CONCERNED SOMALIS:

Thank you very much for your support in the ARENA OF IDEAS in these trying times. The true and tested hard working and devoted Somalis need leadership and unbiased information. We will try our very best to provide that. To other Somalis on the fence: the days of one clan forcefully dominating the other are over. If each one of us doesn’t clean his/her own house, nobody will clean it for us! For all the young men and women: don’t waste your time in this clan rubbish. Stay in school; we may need you someday. For the few who disagree, please be specific in where we err, if we do at all!
