Desperate Attempt to Revive the TNG Sub-clan
TNG,
so-called Islamic Courts and the Coming Storm!
On many pages and press releases, we have continuously detailed the
political relationship between the Arta sub-clan and Mogadishu and
Marka's so-called Islamic courts. We have reported in great detail that
they are one and the same. These so-called Islamic courts in Marka are
in reality nothing more than Mr. Abdulqasim Salad Hassan's invading
militias. They are led by now the fugitive and one of America's most
wanted terrorists, Col. Hassan Dahir Aweys, a friend of Osama bin Laden
and a member of the sub-clan. Col. Aweys, together with other fugitives,
is rumored to shuttle between Marka and Mogadishu.
On the other hand, Mogadishu's Islamic courts are an amalgamation of
sub-clan members, die-hard extremists, and original members and recruits
of al-Itihad and al-Islah organizations. They are led by other fugitives
and most wanted individuals. These courts together with their well-off
business associates, including but not limited to the former al-Barakaat
conglomerate and now doing business as Golis International - now
effectively running al-Barakaat's telecom businesses in Mogadishu and
Boosaaso - provide the needed protection and financial support for the
TNG. They are in reality the power behind Mr. Abdulqasim Salad Hassan.
The TNG was supposed to provide needed political cover for the cleverly
and stealthily rebuilt organization.
Fortunately, the war against terrorism has changed all of that. It
effectively exposed the organization's financial support as provided by
extremist countries and organizations. The TNG, together with its
supporters, is now bleeding and its demise is predicted.
However, there are now two remaining channels that promote the TNG and
allied so-called Islamic courts. One is the UN Office for the
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, IRIN News, edited by Mr. Abdi
Salad Hassan, Abdiqasim Salad Hassan's brother; and the other is the BBC
Somali Desk, headed by a close cousin of Mr. Salad, also a member of the
sub-clan himself too. For the last two years, it has been their sole job
to breathe life into the TNG. It is their self-imposed job to try to
legitimize al-Itihad and sub-clan militia so-called Islamic courts. It
has been their self-imposed duty to destabilize anywhere stability
reigns.
To perform these illegal and unethical self-imposed duties - mainly due
to poor supervision by the employing agencies - every so often, Mr. Abdi
Salad Hassan runs a favorable report for the sub-clan's so-called
courts. Last year, on June 21, 2001, he ran this report: SOMALIA:
TNG announces Islamic courts “nationalised” - OCHA IRIN. In that
report he claims that the courts are now "legitimate" and have
been "nationalized," apparently a downstream liquidation, but
nevertheless the same entity with a different name! Today, with the
sub-clan on the run, both in Mogadishu and Kismayo, again, he runs that
same June 2001 report, but of course instead of
"nationalized," he claims that it is now [IRIN - June 7, 2002]
being "...turned
over to the TNG."
But dear friends, this report and other incriminating reports, are more
than that meets the eye. To refresh your memory, let us again refer back
to SHASNA's June 4, 2002. We have reported that a weakened Mr. Salad
Hassan, after he was chased out of his strongholds in northern
Mogadishu, has on June 2, 2002, met his base. He met Mogadishu's
al-Itihad and al-Islah members and businessmen. Knowing that their
investment is about to go down the drain, he ranted about Islam, about
Ethiopia, about Christianity, about America; he declared jihad on
Somalia's autonomous regions, on Mogadishu leaders and on Ethiopia.
Translation: Dear readers, this is the last push by the sub-clan and
company. There is one sole option left for them, and that is for him to
declare Jihad. By then, all extremists will unite behind him, and then
financial support could again be sought from radical Arab states. Dear
readers, this IRIN report is the set up for the coming storm. It is
merely a set up for the expected move by these so-called Islamic courts
to help the TNG "restore stability." This is just a set up for
the upcoming IRIN headline! Fasten your seat belts and get ready for
quite a ride!
Of course, don't expect the BBC or IRIN to fairly analyze Somalia,
or to truthfully report about Somalia's crystal clear daily events! But
don't despair, SHASNA is always here and there for you and for all the
freedom fighters everywhere in Somalia. This is our promise to you: we
will not relent, and we will stay on course!
